Birth of a Song

I gazed across the green grassy field stretching out before me. The setting sun cast a romantic pink hue across the mountain range lifting, as it seemed, from the far edge of the field. I was in desperate need of inspiration. As a new artist, it seemed like I was being pulled a thousand different directions each moment of the day. Last night’s Shaun Barrowes concert was the catalyst for today’s renewed effort to become the next hot adult contemporary artist. A prize I sought after ferociously. Enough was enough.
With a notebook in hand, I had jumped into my jeep and headed down into the river bottoms. With the wind blowing through my hair, I came across I serene pasture that almost looked too perfect to be disturbed. I threw the jeep into park and hopped out in a hurry. I wanted to be a part of the peacefulness the land portrayed and I so desperately lacked. I lay down on an old tethered blanket and stared up at the majestic mountainside. The view seemed to pour inspiration and the words couldn’t help but fall onto the notebook.
I silently evaluated my life and tried to portray all the things I was most passionate about in my lyrics. A subtle sound in the distance disturbed my thoughts and brought my eyes swiftly up. I spotted a family of deer feeding in a nest of trees across the way. The rushing sound of the river combined with the wind blowing through the tree branches made its own music that instantly fed my soul. I seemed small and insignificant next to the natural beauty that surrounded me.
In the soft twilight of evening, I found myself again. I discovered what moved me and inspired my talent of music. The world was much bigger than my own busy agenda. Everyone needs a place to call their own, and I knew I had found mine. I now had the perfect place where I could go and create beautiful music that was truly my own.
Through this article author Jeni Stevens said many times everyone needs a place to get something from his own mind. Here is the example of Shaun Barrowes who inspired from the same place and discovered or created a song like when I take your hand it’s called wedding songs.
