Here are 5 success tips that are not only powerful, but also easy to understand and simple to implement. You can use these ideas to accelerate success in your work, life and business.
1. Get rid of stuff -- You can pretty much buy a product that promises to solve almost any problem, and some of us buy them all. There are products that will teach you how to earn more income, get out of debt, or improve your golf swing.
A side effect of this consumer oriented society is that we end up with a lot of products that either doesn't perform as expected, or we never use.
We have books we never read, and bikes we never ride. We own exercise equipment that we never use, and sofas that we never sit on.
Getting rid of the clutter opens us up to receiving new things, and having new experiences. Too much junk clogs up the pipes, so to speak.
Removing the excess from our lives translates into being more focused and more effective in our actions. It means having fewer, but more powerful thoughts, and possibly having fewer, but more meaningful relationships.
2. Let success come to you -- Many of us have a grandiose notion of what success means to us. Numerous failures and the pressures of life often cause us to eventually abandon our dreams and settle for being less than all we can be. Stop chasing success and looking for the big score. In order to prevent overwhelm, envision in your mind what it is you want, and then break down the steps into tasks that are easy to do.
3. Create daily habits -- Choose 10 things that inspire you and create habits around those things. Don't choose things that you feel you should do. Instead, choose things that juice you up and replace any old bad habits with these instead.
4. Complete your work faster -- For most of us, no matter how long we have to complete a task, it seems we like to put things off until the last minute. This rarely stops us, however, from completing our work on time.
If you can complete your work in 3 days instead of a month, then do it in the first 3 days and not the last. Then use the extra time to reward yourself. Do something that excites you. Spend time giving to others, or work on personal goals or your part-time business.
5. Know what you want and determine your outcome -- Decide on what you want up front. Make a commitment. Decide to commit to taking the necessary actions, to following through, and decide to accept the consequences of your actions.
For the next 5 months, add one of these success tips each month. In a short time, you'll see an improvement in the results you get in each aspect of your life and work.
