AdSense Versus Common Sense

How Much Is Your Website Worth?
Can you make money if you sell it or rent space on it?
The real question is what makes you the most money?
How much money do you make when you allow Google to place ads on your website? Remember in cyberspace your website represents real estate. So does this “real estate property” represent value so that you could rent it out to someone else besides Google and get even more rental dollars?
Before you can start profiting from Google AdSense you must have a website. You are more likely to be accepted if you have your own domain, so invest in one. And make sure that your website makes sense because if you are running a website that is disorganized with random content scattered all over the place, you will not be viewed as professional and will most likely be rejected by Google.
Once your site has been accepted, Google will give you code to paste on your site, thus enabling them to start placing ads on your site that are relevant to the content of your site.
Now, what about making money? Google makes money by advertising. So, by placing ads on your site, you are helping them to advertise by providing them with a place to display their ads. Every time a visitor to your site clicks on one of the ads that Google has placed on your site, you receive a certain percent of the money. Usually 9 cents a click. Hardly enough to cover the advertising expense you incurred to generate the traffic.
Now use your Common Sense and think about this for a moment. If you have really done a bang up job in building a site and advertising it to the point of getting a lot of traffic - why not rent the space on your site to other webmasters for a fee that would cover your advertising better than AdSense. You can easily fetch /day, or 0/week, or 00/month for the same space that you are renting to Google for 9 cents a click. Assume you get 100 clicks a day, or 3100 clicks a month @ 9 cents a click from Google AdSense. That equals only 9/month from AdSense. Simple math says you get 21 more a month for the same rental space from a webmaster. It is a "no brainer" what makes more dollars and cents.
