Homebreware! Where have you been all my life? I recently checked out the Homebreware program from a buddy and neighbor of mine. The Homebreware lets you to backup games and play import games on your Nintendo Wii without voiding the manufacturer’s warranty.

I’m a video game, system, console, add-on, and application reviewer. I’ve recently checked out Homebreware and was very happy with its results and performance.

The best thing about the Homebreware company is that they really abide by their word. How many times have you bought “gadgets” and add-ons and have been left disappointed? It happens to me all the time. I didn’t have that terrible experience with Homebreware though. Everything they mention on their website was true.

Being an avid gamer, I’m very funny about applications and add-ons to game consoles and here’s why:

11 years ago I got the original Sony Playstation. My best friend at the time had one also and we were really into the whole gaming thing. We had memberships to just about every gaming magazine imaginable. One day, there was an editorial about mod chips. In the editorial the writer was talking about how great mod chips were and so on and so forth. For reasons still unknown to me today, he never gave info about the company he bought his modification chip from.

After reading the article, my friend and I scoured the internet to find out where to get these “mod chips.” Now if you’re not familiar with mod chips, they let you to play foreign games, international dvd’s, etc.

We really wanted modification chips because my friend went to Korea twice a year for Tae Kwon Do Tournaments and he’d come back with Japanese Playstation Games. Over there Playstation Games were only and we wanted to play them on our U.S. based Playstation consoles.

So anyways, we eventually found one put it in my Playstation, turned it on and the screen just turned red. Our consoles never worked after that.

Besides warning people about video game chips, I wanted to bring up that long drawn out story to explain the greatest thing about Homebreware.

Homebreware provides the benefits of chips, but none of the negative stuff like ruining your system forever! The Homebreware package runs on software, so it will never void your warranty or ruin your console.

The Homebreware is currently only available for the Nintendo Wii. In addition to being able to play foreign video games, burned games, and dvd’s, you can also download 2000 Nintendo Wii games for free. It would cost you thousands of dollars if you paid for those games out right. Just one free game more than pays for the cost of Homebreware, so it is totally worth it!

I just wish they had come up with this for my Playstation before that mod chip destroyed it.

I’d also recommend checking out the video they have on their site. The video shows an actual demonstration of a user playing a burned copy of Super Mario Brothers Galaxy.

I was sold when I saw that. I like to backup copies of dvd’s incase I scratch or lose them. Since you can play copied dvd’s on dvd players why not be able to played copied video games? Homebreware allows you to do this.
